Different Dimension - Cetus Swatch and Review

Wednesday, August 26, 2015
Hi guys! Today I have swatches and a short review on this gorgeous polish by Different Dimension called Cetus. It's a berry holographic, flaky polish, part of Different Dimension's Shooting Star series, which are one and done, special edition, polishes. That means that the maker only releases them for a short time, they tend to be unique mixes with higher quality pigments or extras like holos, glitters, or flakes. Different Dimension is one of my favorite indie nail polish brands and they make up a good chunk of my collection but I've barely posted about them, even though I wear the polishes often. I was wearing this one two weeks ago and decided to go ahead and write a review, so check below for that.

Shinespark Polish Multichromes Review

Wednesday, August 19, 2015

Hi guys! Today I have swatches and review of two multichrome polishes from Shinespark Polish. These are mean to be used as toppers over a dark base. Because multichrome polishes shift color depending on the angle and lighting, I'm going to mention the type of light I took the picture in. Some of the low-light shots are slightly blurry, but they show the color shifts the best, I took those with just the overhead lighting of my kitchen, and not my daylight bulbs.

Breaking the Biting Habit - August 2015

Wednesday, August 12, 2015

My last update on the health of my nails and nail/hand care routine was last January. That's because I have nothing new to report. Although my nails broke a lot during the moving process (you can see all of those pics where my nails are super nubby for a while on my Instagram), it's not because I bit them. To be able to say, that despite the huge amounts of stress, anxiety and depressive feelings, I never bit my nails off, is a huge accomplishment.

A few weeks ago when I was chatting with my twin, she sent me a picture of her latest manicure. I commented on how long her nails were. She thanked me and then expressed her frustration at getting them to grow. She started on her journey to break her own decades long nail biting habit a few months after I did, inspired by my sucess. The idea then came to mind, that it might serve as inspiration to see and read about other nail bloggers/IGers who where also nail biters and have overcome it. So I've decided to revamp this series into a monthly interview segment, where we'll find out how others have broken their nail biting habits, and hopefully learn some new tricks and tips.

Sensationail Gel Starter Kit Review

Thursday, August 6, 2015

Hi guys! Today I have a review on the Sensationail Gel Polish Starter Kit in Pink Chiffon. My mom picked this up for me at Walmart and I used it last week. I've been wanting to try gel nails for a while now so I'm super happy. Long, and wordy post up ahead.
